Ernesto Tano, M.D. supervises all psychiatric services
at the Watershed. Dr. Tano is a graduate of The
University of Miami School of Medicine's Psychiatric
Residency Program. Dr. Tano has over 15 years of
experience in treating patients afflicted with
alcoholism and addiction even when complicated by
psychiatric illness.
Dr.
Milman is the Vice President of the Clinical Operations
at The Watershed. She has 15 years of experience in
clinical and administrative services. Her clinical areas
of interest and
expertise
include; Chemical Dependency, Cognitive Psychology,
Women's Issues, Obsessive Compulsive Disorders, Mood
Disorders, and Multicultural Issues.
Michael Chernak is the Founder, President, and Chief
Executive Officer of The Watershed Treatment Programs.
He holds a B.A. in Political Science from Kent State
University. Mr. Chernak then received his M.A. from The
New School For Social Research, and a M.A. of
Professional Studies in Human Relations from the New
York Institute of Technology at Lynn University. He
helped to found Satellite/Alternative High School for
Troubled Youths in New York City, where he taught High
School History and coached basketball during the late
1970's. Mr. Chernak is Certified by The National Board
of Examiners as a Masters Addiction Counselor, and has
more than a decade of experience in the addiction and
psychiatric treatment field. He has worked in a variety
of Psychiatric and Addiction Treatment Programs, and has
previously founded two successful treatment programs. He
has used this wealth of experience to found and grow The
Watershed and build it into the center of excellence it
is today.
Steve Demarco is a National Certified Addiction
Counselor and has over 14 years of experience in
Addiction and Psychiatric Treatment. He has worked as an
Interventionist, Counselor, and Admissions Specialist in
a variety of public and private treatment centers in
Palm Beach County and nationally. He is the Clinical
Supervisor of The Watershed Treatment Program's
admissions Department where he is an invaluable resource
to both the staff of the Watershed and to persons
suffering from addictions and psychiatric illnesses as
well as their families.
Christopher Crosby is the Vice President of Business
Development and director of admissions for The Watershed
Treatment Programs. One of the founders of the
Watershed, Mr. Crosby has worked in the psychiatric and
addiction treatment field in for the past 21 years.
Chris has held positions in virtually all areas of
treatment from crisis intervention counseling,
detoxification and psychiatric nursing, group
psychotherapy, and intervention. Chris currently
oversees marketing, admissions, strategic business
planning and the interface of business operations with
clinical care to insure that the Watershed's patients
receive the maximum amount of care available to them and
that our business remains strong and able to service the
community.
Ms.
Byars received her MSW from Barry University, in 1999.
Prior to that she received her B.A. in Social Work in
1997 from Florida Atlantic University. In 1995 she
graduated from Palm Beach Community College and received
an Associates in Science, Human Service Technology. Ms.
Byars is Licensed and Certified From the Crises
Prevention Institute, Inc, First Aid and CPR, and c.e.u
in Domestic Violence Ð Epidemic. She has 7 years
experience as a primary therapist for addiction and
psychiatric facilities; currently she is the Program
Director for The Watersheds Extended Care Program.
Bill
Russell, MA is our Chief Operating Officer/Vice
President. Bill is responsible for the facility, support
services, licensure and accreditation, and other
administrative areas. He has over 20 years experience in
healthcare administration. Bill was formerly the
Administrator of Fair Oaks Psychiatric Hospital.
Patrick Kirse is the Chief Financial Officer and a
Certified Public Account (CPA) licensed in Missouri. As
the CFO, Mr. Kirse is responsible for the oversight of
the companies Business Office, Patient Accounts,
Accounting and Finance Departments. Additionally, Mr.
Kirse negotiates rates and contracts with Managed Care
Providers and Insurance Companies.
Dr.
Sherman, M.D., PhD, holds a PhD from Harvard University
and has 40 years experience in clinical psychology. Dr.
Sherman consults with the Watershed on quality assurance
and utilization review.
